Is Screenplay Outliner free? - Yes and No. The Basic Story Info tab is always available. You can store as many stories as you like in Screenplay Outliner, and record the basic information. But the Act development, Characters and Scenes tabs will become disabled if you do not register Screenplay Outliner. |

I've downloaded the zip file, now how do I install Screenplay Outliner on my computer? - Unzip Outliner.zip with either PKZip or Winzip, and then run the Setup.exe. After the install is complete, press the START button and select Programs > Screenwriting > Screenplay Outliner to run the program. |

Will Screenplay Outliner automatically create an outline for me after I enter the Act information? - No, you have to be creative on your own. Screenplay Outliner makes your story development and outlining easier, but it does not replace the craftmanship necessary to create a great screenplay. |

I'm trying to delete a story, but I keep getting an error message. - If you have any characters or scenes designed in the Update Story window, Screenplay Outliner will not let you delete the story. You must delete the characters and the scenes before you can delete the story. |

Will I lose all of the data I enetered if I don't register before the 30-day time-out? - No, you will not be able to add new characters or scenes, but you will be able to print out or export the information you have entered. |

How do I transfer my story files from my desktop computer to my laptop? - You can use the Back Up and Restore utilities, but be careful! When you use the Restore function, the existing data files are overwritten. The existing files are renamed before the overwrite, but you should be cautious with your data. |
